Montecatini Alto
The ancient village, that it origined the more modern and popular Montecatini Terme, rises on a small and green hill 330 meters on sea level, that it allows seeing a view till 30 km of distance. The characteristic red funicular of the end of the nineteen century (in the photo) is still today a simple and exclusive way to catch up the village. Here you can find silent narrow lanes, alleys and little square and you can still breath the essence of the history that have crossed these places from the Middle Ages tll today. This little paradise was beloved to the Poet Giuseppe Giusti and to The Master Giuseppe Verdi.
